Working 20 hours per week over 4 or 5 days - Hybrid 2 days working from home

SUMMARY:

Responsible for providing HR Generalist administrative and advisory support across the full HR lifecycle and region (UK, Europe, India, UAE). Working as part of the extended HR team to develop solutions to help the business area to delivery its strategy.

To work closely with business area to help implement the people strategy and provide operational support and guidance to managers, employees and applicants, based on established HR policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

Technical

  • Support the HR EMEAI Lead with the overall HR strategy.
  • In conjunction with the HR EMEAI Lead, ensure that HR policies and procedures are maintained and developed within relevant country legislation.
  • To support line managers with recruitment & on-boarding, development and retention of all employees.
  • To actively promote positive staff welfare of all employees inclusive of health and safety, Working Time Regulations, employee satisfaction and wellbeing.
  • To successfully manage a positive workplace culture through effective employee relations including all investigatory, disciplinary, capability and performance management issues
  • To support talent development and early years initiatives, and ensure all HR and training records are accurate and up to date and meet legislative requirements.
  • Oversee absence management processes and provide appropriate advice and support to the business.
  • Manage the administration of visa applications across the region.
  • Understand and adhere to the HR Shared Service procedures and general HR processes.
  • To undertake any other duty commensurate with this post as determined by the HR EMEAI Lead

Requirements

Skills & Attributes

  • A thorough understanding of current UK employment law and application within the business
  • Strong experience of managing complex employee relation cases and negotiating terms & conditions of employment with employees
  • Good working knowledge of Business English
  • Excellent Excel skills and appropriate PC skills.
  • Good organizational and planning skills
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • A strong team player, with excellent organizational and problem solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to multi-task and work well within a high pace pressurized environment.
  • Desirable
  • International employment law experience
  • Previous Experience in a stand-alone HR Function
  • Experience of matrix management and working within an international organization across different time zones
  • Ability to travel occasionally
