Adult Social Care Lawyer 

Location: East of England  

Job Type: Full-time | Permanent | Hybrid   

Salary: £55,293.00 to £58,737.00  

We are looking for an experienced Adult Social Care Lawyer to join our dedicated legal team and provide high-quality legal services to the Council and its departments. 

You will play a key role in delivering expert legal advice with a primary focus on adult social care matters. Your expertise will help shape decisions related to the Care Act 2014, immigration issues, special educational needs (SEN), deprivation of liberty, mental health, and human rights. 

What the role involves? 

  • Provide legal advice on a range of adult social care matters including immigration, mental capacity, and safeguarding issues. 
  • Prepare cases for the Court of Protection, managing legal proceedings and advising on case conduct. 
  • Liaise with external professionals and represent the Council at court hearings, instructing Counsel in complex cases.  

What are we looking for?  

  • Qualified solicitor with solid experience in Adult Social Care. 
  • Strong understanding of the Care Act 2014, mental health law, and human rights. 
  • Proven experience preparing cases for court and representing clients at hearings. 
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
