Due to continued growth our client law firm in Bedford is seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join their dynamic and supportive Commercial Property team.

The Role

As an experienced Commercial Property Secretary, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Head of Department. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to the Head of Department.
  • Drafting and preparing legal documents, correspondence, and contracts.
  • Managing diaries, scheduling meetings, and liaising with clients and third parties.
  • Handling Land Registry applications, SDLT submissions, and Companies House filings.
  • Assisting with file management, document production, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Processing invoices, billing, and handling confidential client information with discretion.

The Candidate

To be successful in this role, you should have:-

  • Previous experience as a legal secretary in a commercial property department within a law firm in England.
  • A strong understanding of commercial property transactions and associated documentation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management systems (training will be provided on our particular case management system).
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • The ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • A proactive and professional approach, with a commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
  • Office based only
  • Hours: 9-5.30pm
  • Holidays : standard plus bank holidays
