Legal Assistant Salary: Up to £28,000Location: Bedford, Fully Office-BasedAbout the Role:An established family-feel law firm based in Bedford is seeking a dedicated Legal Assistant.This role involves providing comprehensive support across a variety of legal tasks, assisting in case management, legal document preparation, and ensuring the smooth operation of day- to-day legal processes within the firmKey Responsibilities:
- Legal Document Preparation: Preparing a wide variety of legal documents, iwith a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Case Management: Managing and organising complex legal files, including electronic and physical files, ensuring accuracy and timely access to information.
- Legal Research: Conducting legal research and gathering relevant information for cases, using online databases and other legal resources.
- Client Communication: Communicating with clients, solicitors, and other legal professionals, both verbally and in writing, in a professional and courteous manner.
- Administrative Support: Providing administrative support to solicitors and other legal staff, including scheduling appointments, managing correspondence, and handling billing.
- Confidentiality: Maintaining strict confidentiality of client information and legal documents.
Skills and Qualifications:
Experience: Proven experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal, ideally with a focus on Conveyancing- Education: High school diploma or equivalent, with some college coursework or a degree in a related field preferred.
- Legal Knowledge: Strong understanding of legal terminology, procedures, and practices.
- Organisational Skills: Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, attorneys, and other legal professionals.
