Nights Warehouse Supervisor

c£30k + Benefits + Bonus
Sunday - Thursday (20:30 - 05:00)
The Client:
Our client is the largest wholesaler of Plumbing, Heating & Bathroom products in the UK. They distribute nationally over 20,000 products on behalf of market leading brands, delivering to independent merchants, DIY outlets, bathroom, fire and general retailers nationwide on their own fleet and vehicles with 11 sites across the UK.
Role Summary:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient and accurate order picking, maintaining productivity standards, and leading a team of Warehouse Operatives. This role requires excellent organisational skills, strong leadership abilities, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
The successful candidate will:
- Lead, coach, and motivate a team of Warehouse Operatives
- Assign and monitor daily tasks to ensure timely and accurate order picking
- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, expectations, and updates
- Promote and maintain a safe working environment by enforcing safety policies and procedures
- Conduct regular safety inspections and address any identified hazards
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and regulatory requirements
- Oversee the picking process to ensure accuracy and efficiency
- Monitor workflow and adjust staffing levels as needed to meet operational demands
- Ensure all picked orders meet quality standards and customer requirements
- Address any discrepancies or errors promptly
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for the picking team
- Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to team members
About you:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a warehouse environment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role - ESSENTIAL
- FLT licences - counterbalance, reach desirable
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, particularly order picking processes
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software
- Take ownership and care of all stock and orders within the required speed to ensure that the items are dispatched to stores within the right time frame
