As they continue to expand and grow their presence in the marketplace they are now seeking a driven and ambitious Technical Manager to join their business.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:* Act as the main technical contact for major retailers, ensuring compliance with their specifications, policies, and audit standards.* Oversee product quality, safety, and legality, ensuring alignment with BRC and customer-specific requirements.*Work closely with growers, packhouses, and suppliers to uphold best practices, conduct audits, and drive continuous improvement in food safety and quality.* Investigate and resolve customer complaints, non-conformances, and product rejections, using root cause analysis to implement effective corrective actions.* Manage retailer audits, update product specifications, and maintain due diligence to ensure full traceability and compliance.* Support retailer sustainability initiatives, ensuring compliance with ethical, social, and environmental standards.* Work closely with NPD, commercial, and operational teams to ensure new product launches meet technical and regulatory requirements.* Analyse quality data, complaints, and audit results, providing insights to drive continuous improvement and retailer satisfaction.* Keep up to date with evolving retailer standards, ensuring all processes align with industry best practices and customer expectations.* Act quickly and efficiently in the event of food safety or quality incidents, coordinating with internal teams and customers to ensure swift resolution.About you: * Food manufacturing experience is required * Proven track record of facing directly into major retailers * Own transport and UK full working rights are requiredIf you believe you have the skills and personality to fit these requirements please either apply via this advert or call Henderson Brown on for more information.
