The Role

As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing high-performance production equipment, ensuring maximum efficiency. Your day-to-day will include:

  • Performing both electrical and mechanical maintenance to keep machinery operating at its best.
  • Diagnosing faults, particularly with PLC systems, and resolving them quickly.
  • Working with a variety of systems, including pneumatics, hydraulics, pumps, valves, ovens, mixers, pressure systems, and refrigeration.
  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to reduce downtime and prevent breakdowns.
  • Collaborating with production teams to ensure smooth and uninterrupted operations.

What You'll Need

To thrive in this role, you'll need:

  • A solid background in electrical and mechanical maintenance, ideally in a food production or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with PLC systems and a strong understanding of continuous improvement and PPM practices.
  • Qualifications such as a BTEC/ONC in electrical engineering or a time-served apprenticeship/HNC in electrical, mechanical, or production maintenance engineering.
  • A proactive attitude, able to quickly identify and resolve faults to minimise production downtime.
