If this sounds like you, Expleo has an exciting opportunity! We are looking for an Automotive Battery Research Engineer to join our client's electric vehicle research team. Your role will involve conducting trend research, horizon scanning, and data analysis. This position is on a contract basis, working for a globally successful Automotive OEM based in Bedfordshire.

Automotive Battery Research Engineer responsibilities include:
* Working across the fields of automotive trends, batteries for electric vehicles, advanced power electronics and electricity network integration.
* Attending European technical conferences and producing high-quality, fact-based communications.
* Delivering annual projects related to Power Electronics and Battery for the EV market.

Background and skills required for the Automotive Battery Research Engineer position:
* Ideally Degree level qualified in a Chemistry discipline.
* Experience of data analysis within the automotive, power electronics, powertrains, or energy industries.
* Experience researching, evaluating and improving the chemical composition of active materials, particularly when applied in energy storage applications.
* Understanding of high voltage and electrical hardware systems safety requirements.

Flexibility to travel, and a valid driving license are required for this role.
