We are seeking an experienced Equipment Calibration Technician for a global vehicle manufacturer's Technical Research & Development facility in Cranfield.
The role involves maintaining and calibrating over 1000 pieces of test equipment, with essential experience in calibration of equipment required.
Candidates do not need automotive experience but should have a background in calibrating test or lab/engineering equipment.
This position is offered on a rolling 12-month contract, paying £19.67 per hour, which equates to an annual salary of £39,891.
Overtime is paid at 1.5 times the basic rate after 39 hours, and the role requires on-site presence five days a week with a half-day on Fridays.

We are working with a global vehicle manufacturer at their Technical Research & Development facility in Cranfield just outside of Milton Keynes. Supporting them with appointing an experienced Equipment Calibration Technician. This role will be working within their Site Services team that provides the provision of test equipment across the entire R&D center. The team are responsible for ensuring all the test equipment used by all the various teams and departments is maintained, calibrated and in kept up to date. There is over 1000 pieces of test equipment that the site use. Half of them are calibrated in house by this team, so calibration of equipment experience is essential. The other half of the equipment is sent away to suppliers and 3rd parties for calibration and servicing. The role will involve the coordination of both in-house and external calibration. For these roles they do not require any Automotive experience. They are seeking knowledge and experience in calibrating test equipment or lab/engineering equipment. This could be from within a Laboratory Environment, a research facility, or from a technical and engineering environment. The roles are available on a rolling 12 month contract basis paying £19.67/hour. This is an annual equivalent of £39,891. If opting out of holiday pay the rate increases to £20.71 per hour (annual equivalent of £45,873 per annum) Overtime rates of 1.5X basic time after standard 39 hours.This role is based on site at Cranfield 5 days per week. There is also a half day on a Friday (1.20pm finish).
