Hays Healthcare are currently recruiting for a Highly specialist Pharmacist (band 8a) to participate in the development and updating of identified speciality-related PGDs, and support training and regular audit where medicines are administered and supplied under PGDDuties:

  • To contribute to the development and implementation of medicine-related guidelines, SOPs and policies in line with best practice and current medicine legislation to promote good governance, consistent standards of practice regarding medicine management and support clinical practice and service development.
  • To support the development of patient specific written information, such as Patient Information Leaflets, covering relevant topics.
  • To support the maintenance, and review, of the iCaSH Formulary and the managed entry of new medicines in iCaSH, ensuring cost-efficacy and appropriate place in therapy, using evidence-based medicine and national and/or local guidance.

Qualification/Skills:

  • Vocational Master's Degree in Pharmacy (+ completion of pre-registration training)
  • Registered as a practising pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council
  • Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Pharmacy Practice or equivalent relevant postgraduate qualification or experience
