Dunbar Education is a leading provider of educational staffing solutions, dedicated to enhancing the quality of education in schools. We are currently seeking a committed and enthusiastic Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join a supportive team at a primary school in Bedford.

Role Overview:

As a Level 2 Teaching Assistant, you will support the delivery of high-quality education by working closely with teachers to assist in the classroom. Your role will involve providing tailored support to students and contributing to the overall success of the school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons that meet the needs of all students.
  • Support students with their learning activities, both individually and in small groups.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Assist with the preparation of teaching materials and resources.
  • Support students with specific needs, including those with special educational needs (SEN), as required.
  • Ensure that the classroom is a safe and nurturing environment for all students.

Key Requirements:

  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience working in a primary school setting.
  • Understanding of the primary curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to support diverse learning needs and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience working with specific SEN needs, such as Autism or Dyslexia.
  • Additional qualifications or training relevant to the role.
