Our Bedford-based client, a leading food manufacturing company, is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Auditor to ensure the highest standards of product safety and quality across the business. Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily factory walks to ensure compliance with food quality and safety standards.
  • Verify product manufacturing aligns with critical control points and the QMS.
  • Perform internal audits, staff training, and document verification.
  • Collaborate with the hygiene team on food-safe cleaning practices.
  • Manage swabbing, chemical, microbiological, and nutritional testing.
  • Conduct product testing, traceability, and investigate non-conformances.
  • Oversee metal detection processes and maintain HACCP/CCP compliance.
  • Ensure Certificates of Analysis are sent on time.
  • Conduct site audits and report findings to senior management.
  • Handle daily tasks like equipment calibration and sample collection.
  • Assist with audits and compliance to BRC, ISO, and retailer standards.
  • Cover for Quality Controllers and support raw material intake.
  • Monitor external warehouses and assist in retail customer audits.

Requirements:

  • Experience in food manufacturing.
  • Level 2/3 HACCP and internal auditing certification.
  • Knowledge of BRC, ISO, and retailer standards (preferred).
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong prioritization, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Attention to detail and computer literacy.
