We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Grants Programme Manager based in Bedford for one of our clients on a full-time permanent basis. Our client is a reputable charitable trust who offer a wide range of grants in the local community. They are looking for someone to manage this small Grants team and really take control and develop the grants programme.
Responsibilities of the Grants Programme Manager
- Ensure appropriate advice and support is provided to individuals and organisations seeking funding.
- Manage a caseload of grant applications and grants awarded from organisations and individuals.
- Distribute grant making caseloads within the team.
- Research and contribute to the development of new and existing grants programmes.
- Draft papers.
- Contract management for relevant partnership grant schemes.
- Work with the Communications Manager to provide relevant content for the website and social media.
Requirements for a successful Grants Programme Manager
- Minimum of 5 years’ grantmaking experience, including managing grantmaking processes.
- Experience of working in the voluntary sector with good knowledge of Charity Law.
- Proficiency in using Grants Databases.
- Strong numerical skills with an ability to analyse and interpret financial statements.
- Strong organisational and project management skills.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
- Driving licence and access to own transport essential as you will travel to different organisations seeking grants/support.
