Position Summary:
The Electrical/EV Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and executing large-scale electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure projects. This role ensures the successful delivery of EV projects by managing resources, budgets, timelines, and stakeholder relationships. The individual will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, construction, and regulatory bodies, to drive the implementation of EV charging networks or related initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Execution
Lead the end-to-end planning, design, and execution of EV infrastructure projects.
Develop detailed project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
Ensure alignment with organizational goals and industry standards.
Stakeholder Management
Collaborate with internal teams, external contractors, government agencies, and utility providers.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders.
Facilitate communication to align project objectives and resolve challenges effectively.
Budget and Risk Management
Manage project budgets, ensuring cost control and value optimization.
Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
Monitor and report project performance metrics to senior leadership.
Technical Oversight
Oversee the technical aspects of EV infrastructure deployment, including site assessments and equipment selection.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory, safety, and quality standards.
Stay updated on EV technologies and integrate innovative solutions into projects.
Team Leadership
Lead and mentor project teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
Manage project staffing, including hiring and resource allocation.
Conduct regular progress meetings and provide clear direction to team members.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience
- 18th edition
- 2391 test and inspect
- Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2396 Electrical design
- 3+ years of experience in project management, with at least 1 years in EV or renewable energy projects.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- In-depth knowledge of EV infrastructure, including charging stations, electrical systems, and grid integration.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
