We are recruiting for an experienced Shipping Administrator to join our client’s shipping team based in Flitwick. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the smooth running of shipping operations and administrative support for the business.

You will work closely with the operations, warehouse, and account management teams to oversee shipments, process orders, and maintain stock levels.

Key Responsibilities for a Shipping Administrator

  • Monitor and process inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring timely updates and communication with the warehouse team.
  • Raise purchase orders and update systems with inbound shipment details.
  • Maintain stock levels and manage stock movements within SAP.
  • Calculate freight costs for land and sea transport and liaise with hauliers for transport bookings.
  • Process customer orders, invoices, and delivery notes, ensuring all details are updated in the relevant systems.
  • Support account managers and respond to customer queries via email and phone, providing excellent customer service.
  • Manage shipping documentation, including customs paperwork and supplier invoices.
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments and delivery schedules, updating Excel spreadsheets and SAP with relevant details.
  • Ensure smooth coordination of shipments from suppliers and oversee the booking of deliveries into the warehouse.

About You:

  • Strong organisational and communication skills with the ability to multitask and manage deadlines.
  • Experience in a shipping, logistics, or operations administration role is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems would be an advantage.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • A proactive and detail-oriented approach to work, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
