Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in roofing and construction, demonstrating proficiency with various tools and techniques. This role involves working on residential roofing projects, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.
Location: Bedford, Milton Keynes, Luton
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain roofs using a variety of materials including shingles, metal, and flat roofing systems.
- Assess roofing needs by interpreting schematics and project specifications.
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively to complete roofing tasks.
- Perform heavy lifting as required for transporting materials and equipment.
- Fabricate components as necessary for specific roofing projects.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion while maintaining quality standards.
- Conduct regular inspections of roofs to identify potential issues or areas requiring maintenance.
- Adhere to safety regulations and best practices while on-site to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Roofer or in a related construction role.
- Familiarity with carpentry, masonry, and welding techniques is advantageous.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints effectively.
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to perform heavy lifting and work at heights.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- A valid driver's licence is preferred for transportation to job sites.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
- NVQ Level 2 (preferably)
- CSCS Card requiredÂ
