We are seeking a dedicated Science Teacher to join a highly regarded secondary school in Bedford. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering interactive and engaging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4. This long-term role is set to commence in September/October 2024, offering a daily rate between £130 and £250.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Teach Science across KS3 and KS4, ensuring lessons are interactive and incorporate hands-on experiments.
- Create a supportive and engaging classroom environment that fosters a love for learning and scientific inquiry.
- Help students develop critical thinking skills and a passion for Science.
- Prepare and deliver lesson plans that meet the curriculum standards.
- Assess and evaluate students’ progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Participate in departmental meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and other school functions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- A degree in Science or a related discipline.
- Proven experience teaching Science at the secondary level.
- Strong understanding of the UK curriculum and assessment frameworks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students.
