We are seeking a dedicated Science Teacher to join a highly regarded secondary school in Bedford. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering interactive and engaging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4. This long-term role is set to commence in September/October 2024, offering a daily rate between £130 and £250.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Teach Science across KS3 and KS4, ensuring lessons are interactive and incorporate hands-on experiments.
  • Create a supportive and engaging classroom environment that fosters a love for learning and scientific inquiry.
  • Help students develop critical thinking skills and a passion for Science.
  • Prepare and deliver lesson plans that meet the curriculum standards.
  • Assess and evaluate students’ progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and other school functions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • A degree in Science or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience teaching Science at the secondary level.
  • Strong understanding of the UK curriculum and assessment frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students.
