MEM Recruitment is seeking Fire Alarm Engineer for the company that offers a Nationwide service . Most of our work is local to Bedfordshire and the Midlands.

About the company:

We install, commission and service fire alarm and AOV systems. The company is constantly growing and diversifying, hence the need for another engineer.

We have a diverse client base that includes Schools, Retail, & Office areas. However, our specialist area is within industrial & Distribution Centres.

The Job:

We require a full-time engineer, who is capable of working independently (following induction and necessary training).

Responsibilities include, installations, commissioning and servicing of equipment and systems.

Whilst we endeavour to keep this to a minimum, associated administration and paperwork will need to be submitted promptly.

Must be willing to work as part of a team, and as such would be required to be on the call out rota. This also means that working hours will be relatively flexible.

A competitive package is offered for the right person that includes transportation, Pension and salary to be negotiated, and will be based on a 40-hour working week.

The Candidate:

Must have experience and relevant qualifications for installation & commissioning of fire alarm

panels & systems. Knowledge of conventional and addressable systems is essential.

Full training will be given for the addressable panels that we favour, as well as other areas that are deemed necessary.

Other desirable skills (although not essential) will include knowledge of:

Fire Extinguisher servicing

Emergency Lighting & Safety Signage

Aspiration Detection Systems

Sprinkler & Suppression Systems
