Learning Support Assistant (LSA) - Independent School

Contract: Full Time, Permanent

Salary: Competitive (22,000 - 26,000)

Our client, an independent school in Biggleswade, is looking for a suitably experienced Learning Support Assistant to join them on a full time and permanent basis. Proficiency in Makaton is essential.

The school offers state-of-the-art facilities and cutting-edge technology that support both online and in-person learning. With a small school atmosphere and a student body of just 180 pupils from Year 3 to Year 13, they provide personalized attention and a nurturing environment where innovation and future-readiness are at the forefront.

Person Specification:

  • Experience working with young learners, particularly those with SEMH needs.
  • Are proficient in the use of technology, video conferencing, and online resources.
  • Are adept at working with students from KS2 to KS4.
  • Are enthusiastic about stepping away from traditional teaching practices to embrace an innovative, technology-enhanced learning approach.
  • The successful candidate will be proficient in Makaton and skilled in supporting communication needs.

Salary will be determined on the school's own generous scale and is dependent on experience, candidates can expect remuneration above the main teacher pay scale.
