About Us:Think Community Partnership are working with a dynamic and passionate organisation that works to provide housing and support for vulnerable individuals, including those recently released from the criminal justice system. We are looking for a dedicated Housing Support Officer to join their team, offering crucial support to ex-offenders as they reintegrate into society.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide person-centred support to ex-offenders, helping them secure safe and stable housing in the Bedford, Northampton, Peterborough, and Luton areas.
  • Collaborate with local authorities, housing associations, probation services, and other agencies to facilitate access to accommodation and necessary support services.
  • Conduct needs assessments and develop individualised support plans for clients, addressing housing, employment, financial management, and well-being.
  • Offer guidance on tenancy management, budgeting, and access to relevant services (health, education, employment).
  • Regularly visit clients, monitor their progress, and offer ongoing emotional and practical support.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports to track progress and ensure compliance with organisational and legal requirements.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience working with ex-offenders, vulnerable adults, or similar client groups.
  • A good understanding of the challenges ex-offenders face in securing accommodation and reintegrating into society.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of housing and welfare rights, and experience working with local councils and housing providers.
  • The ability to work independently, manage a caseload, and travel across the region as required.
  • A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
