We are looking to recruit a Qualified Social Worker - Children in Need within the Social Care industry in Bedford Council
Responsibilities include:
- Ability to undertake complex social work assessments
- Experience of formulating support, protection and care plans
- Ability to negotiate with colleagues and partner agencies to resolve differences of opinion
- Ability to build effective, long lasting relationships with a range of service providers both from statutory and voluntary agencies
- Detailed knowledge of the Children's Act 1989
- Detailed knowledge of the "Framework for the Assessment of Children and Their Families"
- Attending court and giving evidence when required
- Initiating and implementing child protection plans
- Managing packages of care
- Undertaking parenting and risk assessments
Experience preferred:
- Post qualifying experience of working within a statutory Children in Need or Child Protection Team within the UK Social Care industry.

Minimum Requirements:
- SWERegistration
- 5 year post qualifying experience within UK
- Enhanced DBS/CRB (we can obtain for you)
- Eligibility to work in the UK
