PowerBI Developer - £45,000 to £53,000 – 12 Month Fixed Term Contract 

Hybrid role – 1 day a month on site.

VIQU have partnered with a large organisation in the forefront of digital transformation looking to migrate from on premises to cloud. They are seeking a PowerBI developer to play a pivotal role in developing visualisations, performing data analyses to identify trends and make recommendations based of these analyses. This is a fixed term contract role but has the potential to transition to a permanent position. 

Requirements of the PowerBI Developer

  • A minimum of 4 years of professional experience as a Power BI Developer.
  • Solid ability in Power BI, SQL, data warehousing, SSIS, data modelling, ETL processes, and Azure services.
  • Demonstrated ability to create visually appealing and interactive reports and dashboards.
  • Strong understanding of data visualisation best practices and user experience principles.
  • Effective communication skills, with experience collaborating across teams and with stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as python etc...

Responsibilities of the PowerBI Developer

  • Develop and design end-to-end Power BI solutions, including data acquisition, transformation, data modelling, and report/dashboard creation. 
  • Perform data analysis to identify trends and anomalies and provide recommendations for improvement based on the patterns spotted.
  • Design and build interactive reports and dashboards in Power BI, using best practices for modelling, visualisation, layout, and UE.
  • Create comprehensive documentation including user guides, data dictionaries, technical specifications, and, to facilitate the understanding and maintenance of Power BI solutions.
  • Educate other colleagues on how best to utilise reports made.
  • Conduct thorough testing and validation of Power BI solutions to ensure accuracy and adherence to business requirements.
