We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our dedicated team in Bedford. As an HLTA, you will play a vital role in supporting our teaching staff to deliver high-quality education to our pupils. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to plan and deliver engaging lessons, support pupils with special educational needs, and contribute to the overall development of the school.

Responsibilities:

  • Support teachers in the planning and delivery of lessons, including preparing resources and materials
  • Work with small groups of pupils or individually to provide additional support with learning
  • Assist with the assessment and monitoring of pupil progress
  • Develop and implement strategies to support pupils with special educational needs
  • Provide pastoral support to pupils, including managing behaviour and promoting positive relationships
  • Contribute to the development of the school's curriculum and policies
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to ensure effective communication and teamwork

Requirements:

  • Experience working as a teaching assistant in a primary school setting
  • Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and Key Stage expectations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing circumstances
  • DBS check (or willing to undergo one)
