Responsibilities:

  • Engaging Instruction: Develop and deliver engaging and stimulating lessons aligned with the National Curriculum, catering to diverse learning styles and abilities, especially for students with SEMH needs.
  • Therapeutic Approach: Implement evidence-based interventions and strategies to address social, emotional, and behavioural challenges, creating a safe and supportive learning environment.
  • Individualised Support: Develop and deliver personalised learning plans to meet the unique needs of each student, focusing on academic, social, and emotional growth.
  • Classroom Management: Create a positive and supportive classroom environment that promotes student learning and well-being, utilising strategies to manage challenging behaviours.
  • Collaboration: Work effectively with colleagues, including the SENCO and other professionals, to ensure students with SEMH needs receive the appropriate support.
  • Parent Communication: Communicate regularly with parents, keeping them informed about their child's progress and working collaboratively to support their learning.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Hold a valid UK teaching qualification.
  • Experience: Proven experience teaching within a UK school setting, with a demonstrated ability to support students with SEMH needs.
