Academics are working on behalf of a fantastic SEMH school in Bedford, seeking an SEN Teacher to join their growing team in response to increasing student numbers. This education and training role involves planning and delivering lessons to pupils in Key Stages 3 and 4. The ideal candidate will have either primary or secondary QTS, with experience working with pupils who have anxiety, emotionally-based school avoidance, and/or ASD. While subject specialism is not a requirement, a willingness to support in delivering core subjects would be appreciated.

This Bedford school is an independent SEMH special school that caters to up to 50 children aged 8-18. The school provides education to day pupils and, through its unique Turning the Curve provision, offers support to young people who have been disengaged from education for extended periods. The aim of a SEN Teacher is to maintain a nurturing, accepting environment for students whose needs have not been met in other settings, while also offering staff a healthy work/life balance that is often unavailable in larger schools.
