Stores Person – School Kitchen

Location: Bedford

Contract Type: Temporary Ongoing

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7.30am to 1.30pm

Salary: £11.44 per hour

Are you organised, proactive, and eager to support a dynamic school kitchen team? We are seeking a Temporary Stores Person to assist in maintaining the smooth operation of our client’s kitchen stores in Bedford.

In date Enhanced DBS is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receiving and checking deliveries of food and kitchen supplies.
  • Organising and maintaining stock in the kitchen store areas.
  • Monitoring inventory levels and informing kitchen staff of replenishment needs.
  • Ensuring food safety and hygiene regulations are adhered to during storage.
  • Assisting with the disposal of waste and recyclable materials.
  • Supporting the kitchen team with general duties as needed.

Requirements:

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A proactive attitude and ability to adapt to a busy environment.
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
