Stores Person – School Kitchen
Location: Bedford
Contract Type: Temporary Ongoing
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7.30am to 1.30pm
Salary: £11.44 per hour
Are you organised, proactive, and eager to support a dynamic school kitchen team? We are seeking a Temporary Stores Person to assist in maintaining the smooth operation of our client’s kitchen stores in Bedford.
In date Enhanced DBS is essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receiving and checking deliveries of food and kitchen supplies.
- Organising and maintaining stock in the kitchen store areas.
- Monitoring inventory levels and informing kitchen staff of replenishment needs.
- Ensuring food safety and hygiene regulations are adhered to during storage.
- Assisting with the disposal of waste and recyclable materials.
- Supporting the kitchen team with general duties as needed.
Requirements:
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A proactive attitude and ability to adapt to a busy environment.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene.
- Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
