Position: SEN Tutor

Location: Ampthill

Pay: £130 - £150 per day

Hours: 08:30 - 16:30

We are seeking an experienced SEN Tutor with a strong desire to support students with special educational needs in a thriving, inclusive environment. This is your chance to join a fantastic team in the education and training sector in Ampthill, where you'll provide individualized support for students with a range of needs, including Functional Skills and GCSE preparation.

As an SEN Tutor, your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering personalized tutoring sessions tailored to the unique learning needs of each student.
  • Supporting students' academic and social development within an inclusive, nurturing environment.
  • Monitoring progress and collaborating with the school team to ensure the best outcomes for every learner.
  • Modifying teaching materials to make learning accessible for all students.
  • Building positive, supportive relationships with students to boost their confidence and help them reach their full potential.

About you:

  • You have proven experience as an SEN Tutor, especially in delivering Functional Skills and GCSE tutoring.
  • You understand the diverse needs of SEN students, including those with Autism, ADHD, and dyslexia, and are skilled in adapting teaching strategies.
  • You are patient, empathetic, and proactive, with a genuine passion for student success.
  • You excel at adapting lessons to a variety of learning abilities and needs.
  • You are an excellent communicator, able to collaborate effectively with students, families, and staff.
  • Ideally, you are based in or around Ampthill and can easily commute to the role.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience working with SEN students, particularly in Functional Skills and GCSE education.
  • A deep understanding of various learning needs and strategies for effective support.
  • Strong passion for supporting students and helping them achieve their potential.
  • The ability to adapt lessons for diverse abilities and learning styles.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach with students, staff, and families.
  • Ability to commute or drive to Ampthill and surrounding areas.
