Position: SEN Tutor

Location: Ampthill

Pay: £130 - £150 per day

Sector: Education and Training

Hours: 08:30 - 16:30

We are seeking an experienced SEN Tutor with a strong desire to support students with special educational needs in a thriving, inclusive environment. This is your chance to join a fantastic team in the education and training sector in Ampthill, where you'll provide individualized support for students with a range of needs, including Functional Skills and GCSE preparation.

As an SEN Tutor, your responsibilities will include:

Delivering personalized tutoring sessions tailored to the unique learning needs of each student.
Supporting students' academic and social development within an inclusive, nurturing environment.
Monitoring progress and collaborating with the school team to ensure the best outcomes for every learner.
Modifying teaching materials to make learning accessible for all students.
Building positive, supportive relationships with students to boost their confidence and help them reach their full potential.

About you:

You have proven experience as an SEN Tutor, especially in delivering Functional Skills and GCSE tutoring.
You understand the diverse needs of SEN students, including those with Autism, ADHD, and dyslexia, and are skilled in adapting teaching strategies.
You are patient, empathetic, and proactive, with a genuine passion for student success.
You excel at adapting lessons to a variety of learning abilities and needs.
You are an excellent communicator, able to collaborate effectively with students, families, and staff.
Ideally, you are based in or around Ampthill and can easily commute to the role.

Key Requirements:

Proven experience working with SEN students, particularly in Functional Skills and GCSE education.
A deep understanding of various learning needs and strategies for effective support.
Strong passion for supporting students and helping them achieve their potential.
The ability to adapt lessons for diverse abilities and learning styles.
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach with students, staff, and families.
Ability to commute or drive to Ampthill and surrounding areas.
