We are seeking a dedicated Hairdressing and Barbering Lecturer to join our team at a college in Bedford. This part-time, permanent role involves preparing, delivering, assessing, and verifying a range of courses and levels. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in guiding students to achieve success and realise their potential in the field of hairdressing and barbering.
Day-to-day of the role:- Prepare and deliver engaging and informative lessons in hairdressing and barbering.
- Assess student work and provide constructive feedback to promote learning and improvement.
- Verify the content and quality of courses to ensure they meet academic and industry standards.
- Support and guide students through their courses, helping them to achieve their educational and career goals.
- Stay updated with current developments in hairdressing and barbering to enhance teaching materials and practices.
- Level 3 qualification in Hairdressing and/or Barbering.
- Teaching experience is required; a formal teaching qualification is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Minimum of Grade C in GCSE English and Maths, or equivalent.
- Proven experience of delivering learning to groups.
- Up-to-date knowledge of the latest developments in hairdressing and barbering.
