Bennett and Game are currently on the lookout for a skilled TIG Welder / MIG Welder for one of our longest standing clients based in Bedford who work within the automated solutions of the engineering industry.
Our client is looking for an enthusiastic TIG Welder / MIG Welder with a genuine interest in engineering and manufacturing. The ideal individual should have a flexible approach to working, be trustworthy and confident to work independently with strong attention to detail.
Welder Job Overview
* This role is a high-end production welding role, requiring some repetitive work whilst maintaining the high quality required by the industry.* The welding technician role will be responsible for completing fabricate assemblies to a high standard ready for painting.* Given that this role is within our smaller late shift team, ensuring timelines are met and being able to work independently to manage workload efficiently is very important.
Welder Job Requirements
* Proven experience as welder TIG & MIG.* Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures (TIG, MIG etc.) in mild steel, aluminium and stainless steel.* Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use PPE.* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.* Be able to identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified.* Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures.* BS EN ISO 14732 is an advantage.* Proficient in the use of hand tools, including angle grinders, squares, calipers etc.
Welder Salary & Benefits
* Salary £34k - 40k DOE.* Working hours: - 14:00-00:00 (40-hour rolling work pattern).* Only work 1 weekend in a month.* 8% employer pension.* 22 days holiday + bank holidays.* Regular paid company events, food, drink and socials.
