Location: Bedford MK44.

Schedule: Monday - Friday Day Shift, Overtime available.

About The Role:

They are looking for an experienced Welder Fabricator to join their Production team at their Wilden workshop. This is a permanent, full-time role offering competitive pay and the opportunity to work with an industry leader.

Please note: Due to the location, own transport is essential, as public transport is not available nearby.

Responsibilities Include but not limited to:

  • Fabrication of steelwork to the highest standards
  • Reading and working from technical drawings accurately
  • Welding components using the correct techniques and equipment
  • Meeting production targets and ensuring deadlines are met
  • Using company systems for daily workshop records (clocking in and out)
  • Collaborating as part of a team to ensure efficient production
  • Fabricate and assemble steel structures and components from technical drawings and specifications
  • Perform MIG welding to a high standard, ensuring strong, durable welds
  • Carry out pre-weld preparations, including cutting, grinding, and material preparation
  • Identify and report any mistakes in fabrication drawings or errors in workmanship
  • Highlight any structural conflicts in the build process, whether due to material constraints or welding limitations

Candidate Requirements:

  • Proven experience in welding and steel fabrication
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Previous welding coding certifications (advantageous but not essential)
  • A team-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills
