Assistant Estimator/QS

My client is an Aviation sector specialists within the civil engineering space, they are one of the fastest evolving construction provider in the South East.

They have recently won a number of different tenders and are currently looking to expand the team to help with this work load.

They are looking for a Talented Assistant Estimator/QS to join their team based in Hertfordshire

Job description – Groundworks and civils Assistant Estimator/QS:

1. Receiving enquiries from clients, logging on the register and reviewing tender documentation and drawings
2. Estimating client bills and submitting tenders
3. Producing detailed rate build ups on estimating software for inclusion in tenders
4. Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain prices and quotes
5. Liaison with clients on tender queries and value engineering opportunities
6. Assisting with lump sum tender opportunities with the surveying team
7. Assessing the financial, technical, and operational risks of projects
8. Assisting the surveying team with subcontractor and material quotes and general liaison
9. Producing take off’s and detailed BoQ for lump sum tenders or opportunities
10. Producing detailed measures for material ordering and liaising with subcontractors for orders
11. Maintaining effective communication with clients, suppliers, and site teams

Salary - up to 45k depending on experience
