Warehouse Nights Supervisor

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experiencedWarehouse Supervisor to work for our well established client in Caerphilly.You will oversee our warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of warehouse management systems, logistics, and business processes. This role is crucial in ensuring efficient materials handling, team management, and maintaining a safe working environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily warehouse activities, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
• Manage and train warehouse staff, fostering a productive team environment.
• Oversee the implementation of effective business processes to optimise warehouse efficiency.
• Coordinate logistics operations including inventory management and order fulfilment.
• Utilise the warehouse management system to track inventory levels and streamline operations.
• Ensure proper materials handling procedures are followed, including heavy lifting protocols.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment, including forklifts, ensuring they are maintained in good working order.
• Collaborate with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Proven experience in warehouse supervision or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of logistics and warehouse management systems.
• Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for troubleshooting equipment issues.
• Ability to manage a team effectively while promoting a positive work culture.
• Familiarity with materials handling techniques and safety regulations related to heavy lifting.
• Experience operating forklifts is preferred; relevant certifications are an asset.
• Excellent organisational skills with an attention to detail in managing inventory and processes.
• Driving License
