They’re now looking to bring a Mechanical Fitter on board to support their growing workload across pumps, gearboxes, engines, and general rotating equipment—and they’re open to candidates from all kinds of mechanical backgrounds.

Whether you’re an experienced fitter or someone from a plant, automotive, HGV, marine, or forces background, if you’ve got the right mindset and transferable skills, this could be a great next step.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Strip, inspect, repair, and rebuild mechanical systems including pumps, gearboxes, and engines
  • Carry out mechanical fitting, alignment, and installations
  • Diagnose faults and conduct preventative maintenance
  • Work both in the workshop and occasionally on-site with clients
  • Interpret technical drawings and follow specifications
  • Keep a high standard of workmanship and safety at all times

What They’re Looking For:

  • A background in mechanical repair or maintenance – any industry considered
    Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment
  • Experience with rotating equipment (pumps, engines, gearboxes, etc.) is ideal but not essential
  • Practical mindset, problem-solver, and good communicator
  • Keen to learn and grow with the business
  • Recognised qualifications (NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent) preferred
