Reed Finance is actively recruiting for an experienced, creative and highly motivated individual to lead our client’s expanding team, whilst providing financial guidance and direction collaboratively across two companies.

This is a newly created role, and our client seeks to appoint a qualified Accountant on a permanent basis.  Reporting to Chief Operations Manager in a high growth environment, key objectives of this role include:

  • Taking responsibility for all cash management, investments, insurance, budgeting, and financial reporting, and help drive the company’s financial strategy and hiring needs
  • Coordinate development of annual operating, capital, and program budgets, as well as reporting for the same
  • Ensure cash flow is compatible with operations by overseeing day-to-day accounting, recording, reporting, and internal-control activities of the organisation
  • Develop and implement best practices and tools to ensure a well-controlled yet flexible organisation that has strong fiscal management, project coordination, cross-team communications, and workflows
  • Work with senior managers across all departments to efficiently develop budget proposals
  • Research revenue opportunities and economic trends, analyse internal operations, and identify areas for cost reduction and process enhancement
  • Perform risk management through analysis of company liabilities and investments
  • Monitor business performance with tracking tools
  • Manage finance personnel and oversee financial IT systems, ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory entities
  • Preparation of quarterly management accounts and liaising with external auditors for the preparation of annual financial statements
  • Communication with third parties that perform outsourced company functions

All applicants must:

  • Offer five or more years of experience in an executive leadership role
  • Offer excellent leadership skills
  • Offer an understanding of advanced accounting, regulatory issues, and tax planning
  • Working knowledge of how to raise capital outside traditional lines of credit
  • Professional Accountancy Qualification.
