Group Financial Controller | Belfast
£60,000 - £65,000
Reed is assisting in the appointment of a newly created Group Financial Controller role for a recognisable retail group in Belfast.
Reporting to the Group Finance Director and managing a small team, we’re seeking an ambitious individual with established leadership and technical skills to assume this key role.
Key areas of responsibility include:
- Managing, mentoring and motivating the small finance team
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of the of monthly management accounts to the board of Directors with insights
- Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Preparation of annual budgets and forecasts
- Preparation of year end packs for external auditors and annual statutory accounts
- Develop and implement internal financial accounting, monitoring and reporting systems
- Monthly cash flow analysis and Re-forecasting
- Management of day-to-day financial activities
- Act as a key partner to the other Heads of Departments in strategic and operational areas of the business.
- To drive continuous improvement both in the department and wider business.
About you!
- A Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, or equivalent) preferably with experience in a growing SME
- Commercially astute and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Established management/leadership skills
- Highly motivated and can lead and positively influence others
