A UK leading multidisciplinary consultancy focussing on major environmental and design projects with expertise in Ecology, EIA, Planning, hydrology, air quality and drainage have a requirement for an Acoustic Consultant to help grow their noise capabilities out of their Belfast based office. To be considered for the role you must possess previous Acoustic consultancy experience relating to construction developments and other areas of environmental noise to standards specified in BS 4142, BS 5228 and CRN.

Dependent on experience

Experience

You will be confident in your knowledge and be able to provide advice to internal and external clients not only on the technical assessment of windfarm noise but also how this will be assessed within the planning system;

You will be aware of planning guidance, understand the importance of the planning context and be able to research project policy tests;

You will have experience in other areas of environmental acoustic consultancy

You will have carried out business development activities and be prepared to grow the offering with the demands of internal projects.

Duties

Predict, monitor, and give impartial professional advice on all aspects of noise from planning through to design
Carry out acoustic assessments, noise measurements and surveys, and site inspections
Managing equipment installations, logistics, data analysis, and noise modelling
Conducting baseline surveys for Environmental Impact Assessments
Carry out data analysis as part of the on-site monitoring process
Carry out accurate and representative noise predictions in the field of noise and planning
Liaison with clients, local planning authorities, and members of the public
Managing equipment, installations, and logistics
Report Writing
Consultation with Environmental Health Officers including advice on the appropriate use of planning conditions
