Job Title: Senior Structural Engineer

Location: Belfast
Salary: 45,000 - 55,000 per annum

We are seeking a Chartered Senior Structural Engineer to join a boutique engineering consultancy with a headcount of around 30 staff in Belfast. The successful candidate will manage a variety of smaller projects and contribute to larger, high-profile projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a selection of projects independently.
  • Contribute to large-scale projects, including a significant 350m educational project in Northern Ireland.
  • Work on diverse projects such as social housing, shopping centres, the Kings Hall multipurpose project (healthcare, residential, etc.), and two school projects (2-8m).
  • Produce detailed structural calculations and documentation.
  • Regularly meet with clients to provide updates and gather requirements.
  • Mentor junior engineers, providing guidance and support for their professional development.
  • Work with minimal supervision to ensure project delivery meets high standards.

Requirements:

  • Chartered Structural Engineer status.
  • Extensive experience in managing and delivering structural engineering projects.
  • Proficiency in producing calculations and technical documentation.
  • Strong client-facing skills and experience in mentoring junior staff.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
