I am looking for a motivated Structural Engineer to join a dynamic team and contribute to the design and engineering of large-scale steel and concrete structures. If you are passionate about renewable energy and waste-to-energy projects and eager to grow your skills in structural engineering, this role is for you.
This company specialises in providing civil and structural engineering design solutions for energy-from-waste facilities. These include projects such as anaerobic digestion and non-hazardous waste combustion, contributing to low-carbon energy initiatives.
The Role:
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a a few years of experience in structural or civil engineering, seeking to develop their career in the renewables or waste-to-energy sector.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting in the design and engineering of steel and concrete structures for renewable energy and waste-to-energy projects.
- Supporting multi-disciplinary teams on the structural design of reinforced concrete bunkers, pits, and other key infrastructure.
- Contributing to the structural design efforts on projects like energy transmission stations and processing buildings.
- Helping to develop innovative structural solutions that meet both project and environmental requirements.
- Working alongside contractors and site teams to ensure the structural integrity of installations throughout the project life cycle.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 - 3+ years of experience in civil or structural engineering through work.
- Familiarity with structural design principles and practices.
- Basic understanding and willingness to develop industry-standard software skills (e.g., AutoCAD, STAAD, Tekla).
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
