We are looking for Maintenance Labourer to join our team in Belfast NI, where you need to have the ability to safely undertake a full range of maintenance duties within a manufacturing environment. The role will predominantly be working with maintenance team looking after day-to-day maintenance activities within the facility. We are looking for a person who has ability to learn and apply basic repairs. A keen motor mechanic or mechanical DIY person would be suitable for this position.
Operating over a 2-shift pattern, working 37.5 hours per week. 4 Days a week.
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Working safely within company health and safety rules. Risk Assessment, Method Statement and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) to minimise risk when completing maintenance activities.
- Provide essential maintenance support for operations activity.
- Timely response to breakdowns; Fault diagnosis of electronic, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic control systems.
- Preventative/predictive maintenance of machines/equipment.
- Work with maintenance engineers to test faulty equipment and apply knowledge of operation of mechanical and electronic units to locate faults. Resolves problems and recommends solutions to prevent recurrence of problems.
To be successful in this role, you will meet the following minimum requirements:
- Some level of technical knowledge in mechanical/electrical theory and application relating to plant operations and equipment gained from a similar or relevant role.
- Some experience working on mechanical/electrical systems.
- Working knowledge of mechanical /electrical environment.
Desirable Criteria:
- Educated in mechanical/electrical theory or a relevant discipline; or 2 years post-apprenticeship experience.
- Experience in PLC programming, conveyer systems, hydraulic equipment, pneumatic equipment, and flowline systems.
- Experience in overhead cranes and semi-automated paint plants.
- Experience in project management and completion.
Please note: A requirement for this position is the ability to work at heights, and the flexibility to work a reasonable amount of overtime may be required to be able to support operational demands at short notice.

Hours of work and salary:
Rotational shift pattern - 2 weeks on day shift and 2 weeks on night shift.
- Day Shift - 12.83/hr
- Night Shift - 17.11/hr
- Overtime - 19.25/hr (First ten hours)
- Overtime - 25.66/hr (After ten hours overtime)
- 37.5 hours per week (4 day week)
