Area Sales Manager - Catering Equipment

Location: Belfast, Banbridge, Portadown, Antrim, Bangor, Ballymena, Omagh, Newry, Ballymoney, Londonderry/Derry

Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 DOE + OTE £65,000, Company Car, 25 days’ holiday plus an extra day for your birthday, plus bank holidays.

We are a leading manufacturer of catering equipment for the hospitality sector, with a well-established reputation across the UK and Ireland. Our products are widely used across the foodservice industry, including pubs, hotels, restaurants, and cafés. We maintain strong partnerships with national and regional catering equipment distributors, making us a trusted name in the industry. Following a successful 2022 and 2023, we are now looking to expand our team with an experienced sales professional.

The Role:

As the Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing and developing relationships with our wholesale and distribution partners across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. This role will focus on:

- Building and maintaining relationships with distributors, gaining listings, and implementing pricing strategies at the buyer level.

- Driving sales volume through the distributors’ sales teams and working closely with them to maximise revenue opportunities.

- Expanding our existing client base across the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland, with a focus on increasing our presence in both markets.

- Supporting distributors on projects involving end-user foodservice clients, ensuring that our catering equipment solutions meet the needs of the market.

- Managing a mix of national distributor depots and independent regional wholesalers, while aiming to grow our footprint across the region.

The Ideal Candidate:

We are looking for candidates with proven sales experience in the catering equipment industry, particularly through wholesale and distribution channels. The ideal candidate will have:

- Experience in selling professional kitchen equipment such as warewashing, refrigeration, counters, cooking, and food preparation equipment.

- A background in selling heavy catering equipment to design houses, wholesalers, or distributors would be highly advantageous.

- Alternatively, candidates with a chef background who have transitioned into sales, or those with experience selling into the wholesale/distribution sector, will also be considered.

- A relationship-driven sales approach, with strong communication and networking skills.

- Proficiency in IT and a willingness to travel regularly across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
