Brook Street Recruitment is working on behalf of our Belfast client - a well-known and long-established Freight Forwarding company - they are currently seeking to recruit an experienced Freight Sales Executive to join their expanding business.

Applicants for this role will be responsible for business development and selling freight forwarding solutions to both new and existing clients. The role will be a mox of office and field based sales

Responsibilities:

  • Responisble to identify and pursue new sales opportunities within the freight industry#
  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing clients via phone and face to face
  • Be flexible in working both in the office and out in the field.
  • Manage the internal CRM system and liaise with customers, suppliers and overseas agents
  • Communicate technical information and negotiate effectively
  • Work independently and as part of a team to meet sales targets
  • Source your own business leads and act on those provided by Sales and Operations colleagues.
  • Generate new sales, this includes FCL / LCL sea freight both import and export.

Criteria

  • Must have previous proven sales experience within the freight forwarding industry
  • Good overall knowledge of the global freight industry.
  • Sound knowledge of import/export multimodal freight forwarding business and logistics procedures.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills - good negotiation skills.
  • A strong team player with a friendly personality.
  • Ability to prepare accurate and detailed quotations.
  • Excellent English and Maths skills.
  • Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
