Construction Project Planner / Project Controls 

Belfast, UK 

£60,000 - £65,000 + benefits, inc. healthcare + bonuses

MDE are hiring for a Project Controller for an award-winning contractor renowned for delivering and maintaining utility, civil and infrastructure projects across the UK and Ireland. 

This role focuses on managing a number of projects simultaneously from a scheduling and planning perspective, with many up-and-coming relating to EV installations across the UK and Ireland. 

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Creating, maintaining, and reviewing a programme of work.
  • Conduct a thorough analysis of project requirements.
  • Liaising with various site teams, specifically QS & PM.
  • Produce marked-up drawings relevant to the project phases.
  • Report any planning issues to the senior project manager and site management team.
  • Input to Monthly Progress Reports and Forecasts for the Management Team.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation.
  • Regular reporting on project progress to the management team on a project.
  • Monitor project progress with as-built programmes.
  • Produce procurement schedules.
  • Produce resource histograms relevant to capacity planning/labour.
  • Other ad-hoc duties.

About you...

  • Experience at both the tender and contract stages of projects, including NEC.
  • Experience of using project planning software.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Innovative, creative, and proactive with a solution-orientated approach.
  • Ability to always represent the company in a professional manner.
