Brownlee Cale are recruiting for a Health & Safety Advisor for a up and coming client in the M&E sector. The position is permanent and located in Belfast.
 

Purpose:
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations by providing expert advice, conducting risk assessments, and supporting overall health and safety management within the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct risk assessments, audits, and inspections to maintain high safety standards.

  • Provide health and safety advice and ensure compliance with company policies.

  • Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement improvements.

  • Participate in audits and liaise with external agencies for compliance.

  • Ensure corrective actions for health and safety non-conformances.

  • Maintain and update the company’s Health & Safety Management System.

  • Attend project meetings and client health & safety meetings.

  • Deliver training and promote a strong safety culture.

  • Advise on occupational health risks and arrange health surveillance.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Essential: Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations, insurance legislation, QA compliance, people management, and IT skills.

  • Desirable: Negotiation, communication, and professional development (IOSH or equivalent).

  • Qualification: Minimum NEBOSH certificate with proven track record in health and safety.

Special Features:

  • Travel may be required for site operations across the UK.

  • Attendance at all relevant health and safety meetings.
