Markets Regulatory Specialist

We are currently working with a global financial institution to recruit a Markets Regulatory Specialist. This role will be working as part of the risk management team to support the Markets business globally through the governance and oversight of applicable Regulations and the execution of controls required for Compliance Risk Management.
This role will require the candidate to conduct various risk management activities. As part of this role, you will be required to escalate, investigate and remediate any issues identified through the regulatory compliance governance processes.
Key Responsibilities:

• Perform governance of Markets Prudential and Regulatory Risk profile, including review of related issues, metrics & control performance as well as preparing executive reports for Markets senior management
• Assist with Regulatory applicability & control mapping analysis for appropriateness and accuracy for Markets Businesses and functions
• Liaise with stakeholders across multiple functions while establishing and maintaining solid relationships with our internal partners in the business
• Proactively identify opportunities to optimize and streamline processes, propose solutions and lead implementation of improvements
• Working as part of a global team to monitor controls, provide oversight and escalate issues in a timely manner.

Knowledge, Experience & Skills:

• Experience in Regulatory Governance within the Financial Services sector.
• Familiarity with global markets traded products and associated control principles is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with excellent interpersonal abilities.

This role will be hybrid with 3 days working from the office in Belfast. Although the role is initially for a 7-month period, there is a high possibility of extension.
