Inventory Analyst | Permanent | Office based

Reed Accountancy and Finance are delighted to be working with a leading client within the hospitality industry who have an exciting new permanent opportunity for an Inventory Analyst to join their finance team.

This is a full time, permanent opportunity, office based.

Reporting to the Financial Accountant, the post holder will be able to provide detailed analysis of inventory levels, highlighting low stock levels and slow moving stock.  The role will involve the production of weekly and monthly financial analysis with a focus on turnover and margin reporting.

Specific duties will involve:

  • Producing weekly financial reports, analysing turnover and margin by outlet
  • Assisting in the month end financial process
  • Weekly analysis of stock levels and circulating with appropriate business units
  • Interacting with retail and wholesale business units to identify stock issues and flag these with the appropriate business unit
  • Maintaining system information to ensure accurate reporting, including price changes, new product set-up, delisting products and promotional pricing
  • Interacting with the procurement department to provide assistance around stock and purchasing analysis

The Person:

  • Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with POS systems and System 21 would be beneficial
  • Proficient at interpreting data to identify problems and recommend solutions
  • Accounting technician or accounting qualifications would be beneficial
  • Experience in stock control
  • Highly organised individual with a strong attention to detail and analytical skills
