Finance Manager – Belfast

My client is an established and prestigious organisation in Belfast seeking a Finance Manager to join their team. This is a truly excellent opportunity for a fully qualified Accountant to take ownership of the organisations’ financial affairs, whilst managing a busy Finance Department.
Role Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the day-to-day management and oversight of a busy finance office
- Preparation of quarterly management accounts and associated variance analysis.
- Preparation and monitoring of regular cashflow analyses and budgetary projections, including staff costs.
- Preparation of annual accounts and working papers and subsequent liaison with external auditors.
- Oversee the payroll function including preparation and submission of monthly BACS salary transfer.
- Preparation of staffing budgets and assistance with any other projections required.
- Submission of online payments for general staff expenses and overseas agencies plus other ad hoc payments.
- Analysis and retention of financial information as required by stakeholders.
- Preparation and submission of returns in a timely manner, as and when required.
- Review of outstanding fees and other debts to pro-actively identify and address potential non-payment.
- Preparation of annual accounts and VAT returns for associated entity

Essential Criteria:
- Fully qualified accountant with membership of a CCAB recognised body or equivalent.
- At least four years of post-qualification experience in practical accountancy, including management and statutory accounts, cashflows, and budgetary analyses.
- Initiative, self-motivation, and diligence to accomplish tasks unsupervised and to deadlines.
- Highly skilled in numeracy, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent IT skills, including advanced Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting packages and online banking facilities.
- Ability to work as the senior element of a team, managing and delegating appropriately.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills.
