Our client is a well-established freight forwarder handling Ocean, Air & Road Freight import and export worldwide
They are now looking for an experienced Sea Freight import Operator to be based at their busy offices in Belfast. You will get involved in the full Sea Freight Import and Exports cycle. From taking bookings, handling quotes, completing documentation, customs entries, invoicing clients.
The client is looking for candidates to apply with a background gained from a freight forwarder in Ocean Freight import and/or exports. but general imports from Air Freight will also be considered. You must be very commercially focused looking for an opportunity with a forward thinking dynamic company.
You will need to have a open personality, be a good team player and be dynamic. Good IT and communication skills.
As a company they consolidate their own containers inbound and the job would be in the LCL import department. Salary dependent on experience, but we expect around 30,000 to 35,000k for someone with at least 3 years relevant experience. The preference is from a freight forwarding background and not contract logistics.
Experience;
- Import customs
- Sea freight ops (other mode considered if they have import customs experience
- Good customer service skills
- Strong administrative qualities
Job
- Managing inbound shipments from booking through to delivery.
- Inbound customs clearing
- Resolving customer queries and issues that arise
- 9 - 5pm, Monday to Friday.
- Office based in BELFAST
Bonus every year circa 2,000 extra, salary increase every year and games room in the office.
