Our client is one of the world's largest manufacturers of aerostructures for commercial airplanes, defence platforms, and business/regional jets. Initially these roles are on a temporary basis but will reviewed. In recent years the majority of our temporary workforce have transferred to permanent employment with our client.

Composite Operator: The purpose of the job is to produce composite components (various materials) to engineering requirements, by following defined processes and using supplied materials, tooling and work instructions. Job holder may be involved in cutting, lay up and preparation of composite materials for autoclave cure or in finishing operations on cured components and associated tooling.

Process Operative: The purpose of the job is to produce various metal components to engineering requirements through a range of manufacturing processes which can include metallic treatments, pre and post paint preparation, painting, loading / unloading product. Experience in any of these elements is beneficial.

To join this dynamic team, you'll have:

  • Previous manufacturing experience
  • Previous warehouse experience
  • Ability to work as part of a team and / or independently
  • Computer literacy

Preferably, you will also have:

  • Previous Aerospace experience
  • NVQ Level 2 in a manufacturing or engineering related subject, or equivalent
  • Previous warehouse experience
  • Manual Handling training

The role involves manufacturing a range of aerospace hardware to a high standard and maintaining a safe and healthy working environment.

You'll also need to be able to read work instructions and be happy to work a range of shifts plus overtime, as required, at any of Spirit's Northern Ireland sites.
