IT Support Administrator – Enniskillen: £30,000 per annum

REED Technology are delighted to be retained by our client, a leading manufacturing organisation based in Enniskillen.  Due to continued growth and expansion they are seeking to recruit an IT Systems Analyst to join their excellent team.

Summary

The main objective of the post is to provide and manage ICT support for approximately 170 users and, the IT Infrastructure/Architecture across a multi-site environment. The role will also require the post holder to provide technical support to company

Responsibilities:

  • Installation, administration, maintenance, configuration and diagnostic management of multiple virtual and physical servers
  • Administration and security of MPLS WAN, Checkpoint VPN and LAN networks.
  • Configuration of, and troubleshooting of Business Applications
  • Support the development and production of user documentation for IT networks and systems as required

Duties:

  • Provide technical support
  • Day to day management of an ITIL compliant helpdesk
  • Trouble shoot networks, systems, and applications
  • Preparation of progress reports and briefing materials for senior staff as required
  • Identify and utilise appropriate software to support project management processes, e.g., MS Project and MS Office professionals
  • Support process of Change Management – ensure that standard project documentation is established, updated, and stored, e.g., reporting documentation, issues, and risk logs
  • Maintain administrative records of projects within IT unit
  • Organise and prioritise own work and administrative work within IT unit
  • Ordering of required hardware, software, and contractor services
  • Manage the delivery and deployment of hardware, software, and contractor services
  • Provision of server, PC, printer and firewall management and administration
  • Administration of various systems used in Waterways Ireland including, but not exclusively, Active Directory, MS Exchange, Office 365, Hyper-V, ESRI GIS, DPM
  • Administration and management of telecoms servers and associated equipment, including mobile phones, and VOIP systems
  • Network management and administration
  • Manage and control activities of the appropriate staff within the Section
  • Other tasks as may be assigned from time to time
  • Comply with and actively promote Waterways Ireland policies and procedures on all aspects of equality.
  • Complete all training as required by Waterways Ireland within specified timeframes.

Essential criteria:

  • Three years relevant technical experience in a specific IT support role, or
  • Evidence of relevant IT technical support related courses (e.g., ITIL MCP)
  • Experience of providing ICT support and troubleshooting in a complex ICT work environment
  • Experience building, deploying and patching computers
  • Practical experience of working with and on a range of systems (OS & APPs)
  • Preparation of well-structured written material which summarises and identifies key points
  • Experience of handling correspondence and keeping records
  • Experience of dealing with Contractors and Consultants
  • Current driving license and access to a vehicle
