IT Support Engineer – Dundalk – Permanent - €Negotiable per annum

REED Technology are delighted to partner with an IT Managed service provider, who due to continued growth and expansion are seeking an experienced IT Support Engineer to join their team.

Duties would include:

  • Providing L2 desktop support onsite to our clients
  • Providing printer support onsite to our clients.
  • Meeting our SLA's by resolving Ticketing and Service requests
  • Take personal responsibility for ensuring an excellent relationship with the client.
  • IT problem solving and communicating with non-technical clients.
  • Assisting in the roll out of PC’s and printers

Skills & Attributes: 

  • A love of (and ability to) solve problems & challenges. 
  • Attention to detail is a key attribute. 
  • Being able to work on own initiative but understand escalating issues is also important. 
  • Great communication skills, founded in being a good listener 
  • Good understanding of support tools, techniques and how technology is used to provide services 
  • Good understanding of operating systems, business applications, printing systems and network systems 
  • Good diagnosis skills of technical issues related of end-user hardware & software and network devices 
  • Experience and knowledge of working with the following technologies: 
  • Microsoft Active Directory
  • Microsoft Hyper V & Azure 
  • Microsoft 365 Platform 
  • SonicWall Security Appliances (similar technology) 
  • Unifi Security & Networking 
  • Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP & DNS 
  • Must be able to react quickly and accurately. 
  • Willingness to learn new technologies & concepts. 
  • A deep desire to deliver an amazing Client Experience. 
  • Full clean Driver’s license to facilitate going to clients site is a must.   
  • The ability to speak both Geek and Human, ability to explain to non-technical users how to utilize technology. 

Nice To Have: 

  • Professional IT Certifications such as Microsoft MCP, MCSA or MCSE, CompTIA A+, CompTIA N. 
  • Experience working for a Managed Service Provider (MSP),  IT Support Business and or Managed Print Service provider.
